For parents and guardians
Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Little Wordsmiths is built for children ages 2 to 8, and built to be safe. Here is how we look after your child, in plain language. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
What we believe
A children's app should collect as little as possible, never advertise to kids, and always keep parents in control. That is how we designed Little Wordsmiths.
What your child sees
- A closed, safe space. No third-party ads, no external links out of the learning content, no chat, and no user-generated content.
- Age-appropriate content reviewed for cultural suitability across all language editions.
- Learning, not tracking. The core content works without your child entering personal information.
What we collect, and what we do not
- We collect the minimum needed to run the app, such as [anonymous app diagnostics and crash reports]. [List anything else your app collects, in simple words.]
- We do not show behavioral advertising to children.
- We do not sell your child's personal information. Ever.
- We do not build marketing profiles of children.
Parental consent
Where the law requires it, we ask for your verifiable consent before collecting any personal information from a child under 13 (or the applicable age where you live). You can review what we hold, correct it, delete it, or withdraw consent at any time.
Your controls
- Review or delete your child's information: email us at hello@littlewordsmiths.com.
- Device tools: you can also use Screen Time (iOS) or Family Link / Digital Wellbeing (Android) to manage usage.
- Offline use: once words are downloaded, the app works without a connection, so it can be used with no data sent at all.
